In a world: The dating show

AS SEEN IN THE NYTIMES, TIME OUT NEW YORK'S 'BEST OF NEW YORK COMEDY,' & THE 2018 NEW YORK COMEDY FESTIVAL.

Comedian and Matchmaker Emma Vernon sets up 2 real single on a blind date in a location created by comedic improvisers. Monthly show at The PIT (NYC).

Since July of 2017, In A World: The Dating Show has been gracing NYC stages, starting with the PIT and eventually moving to Chelsea Music Hall. In 2018, the show was selected to be a part of the New York Comedy Festival (where it was voted one of Time Out’s best NYCF picks), and is consistently featured as one of the best things to do in NYC by The New York Times, Time Out NY, The Skint and Stellar Underground.

On In A World: The Dating Show, as the title implies, anything is possible. Past show performances have included everything from live burlesque, to shamanic healers, to mind readers to astrologers, but the common thruline in every show has been/is/always will be LOVE.

In each show, Vernon transforms the (often times painful) first date into an elaborate party for the audience and brave singles alike.

Through a mix of scientific research, her expertise as a matchmaker, her own insane personal dating experiences, and unique comedic touch, Vernon has devised her own fool-proof method on how to fall in love on the first date. Join her as she guides the audience as well as two brave singles on a one-of-a-kind, interactive, specially-curated first date.

When you’re done being a part of someone else’s love story, stay for your own at Emma’s singles mixer after party.
